UNIVERSITY CONTRIBUTION A.Y. 2016-2017
The university contribution at the Università degli Studi di Brescia is made up of a fixed fee and a variable part (university contributions) calculated based on the study programme and the income of the student's household.
The FIXED FEE is made up of the following items:
Enrolment fees € 201,58
Regional tax for the Right to Higher Education € 140.00
Stamp duty paid using the virtual system € 16,00
Total € 357,58
UNIVERSITY CONTRIBUTIONS are calculated based on the study programme and on the economic status of the student's household, assessed according to the ISEE (Indicatore della Situazione Economica Equivalente - Equivalent Financial Situation Indicator).
The university contribution is paid in three instalments by means of MAV (Modulo di Avviso Versamento, payment against notice) payment slip, generated by the IT system available to students), which should be printed and paid at any bank, ATM or online banking service:
the first instalment shall be paid on enrolment/registration and is equal to the sum of the enrolment fees, the regional tax for the right to higher education and the stamp duty for a total of €357,58
the second and third instalments shall be paid by 21 March 2017 and 31 May 2017 respectively, and cover payment of the university contributions defined based on the ISEE and the study programme; they are almost of the same amount.
The ISEE declaration, which INPS (the Italian social security and welfare institute) or CAAF (Italian authorised tax assistance centres) issue also to foreign students, must be provided by 30 November 2016.
No contribution is due by students whose ISEE is below € 15,000. The highest contribution bracket applies to students with an ISEE above € 45,000.
The 2016-2017 fees and contributions table lists the total value of the contribution required, to which € 16,00 stamp duty is added only, by degree programme and income bracket.
Reductions and exemptions
The university fees and contributions are calculated based on the degree programme that the student is enrolled in and on the student's economic status.
Students should provide their ISEE declarations by 30 November 2016 in order to obtain a reduction of contribution. Students will be entitled to reduced student contributions if the value of their ISEE does not exceed the maximum limit of € 45,000.00.
Failure to submit the declaration will instead lead to the application of the maximum university contributions amount.
For example, special types of exemptions are envisaged for outstanding students (e.g. those enrolling for the first time in the first year and who completed secondary school with a mark higher than or equal to 95/100), disabled students, students eligible for scholarship or scholarship holders or for students with ISEE< € 15,000.
For envisaged exemptions and reimbursements:
