COVID-19

Starting from 6th November 2020:

  • collective curricular activities (face-to-face lessons, exam session and final exams, graduation sessions and cerimonies) will take place in remote mode;
  • only individual access to laboratories, courses and internships for healthcare professionals and unpostponable research activities will carry on regularly;
  • study rooms and libraries will be available upon reservation.

Through the Rector's Decree no.1094/2020, dated 22 December 2020, the measures outlined in the Rector's Decree no. 840, dated 5 November 2020, relating to the regulations for carrying out educational activities, are extended and will apply up to 7 February 2021.

TEACHING ACTIVITIES

GRADUATION SESSIONS IN REMOTE MODE

Graduation sessions will take place only in remote mode, unless otherwise provided by the Academic Council for the practical tests of healthcare professionals.

LABORATORIES

Face-to-face didactic laboratories will be allowed only for unpostponable individual activities and for those activities that can not be carried out in remote mode, if the safety and hygiene protocols provided for by the current legislation can be respected.These face-to-face activities must be approved by the Academic Departmental Council.

 

INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL INTERNSHIPS AND STAGES

It can be foreseen that up to 100% of the hours provided for internal or external, curricular or extra-curricular internships will take place in remote working or alternative methods, if they are compatible with the educational objectives of the academic Course. If these alternative procedures are not possible, the Academic Departmental Councils will allow them to be carried out only if safety conditions can be guaranteed.

INTERNSHIPS FOR HEALTHCARE AND PHARMACEUTICAL PROFESSIONALS

Every Academic Departmental Council will identify all types of activities to be suspended and the ones that can be carried out in a mixed mode (face-to-face and in remote mode). The Academic Departmental Councils will define the procedures and make up time for the suspended activities. If necessary, the activities of healthcare trainees can continue also in face-to-face mode, whenever it is possible to guarantee the compliance with the health and safety requirements in force.

 

COURSES FOR DOCTORS ENROLLED IN THE SCHOOLS OF SPECIALIZIATION OF MEDICINE

The courses for doctors enrolled in the schools of specialization of medicine can continue in face-to-face mode, in compliance with the specific protocols provided by the host Companies and the directives given by schools Directors. In particular, teaching activities can take place in face-to-face mode, thus guaranteeing the service provision also through distance learning (which has been made possible for university students) for those people who can not be present at the workplace because of organizational reasons or force majeure; exam session and final exams can be held both in face-to-face and remote mode.

 

PhD STUDENTS
Self-managed activities that cannot be postponed and carried out remotely will be performed in face-to-face mode, only if the safety and hygiene protocols provided for by current legislation can be respected.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENT MOBILITY

International mobility activities for outbound students for study reasons, traineeship and thesis abroad are authorized exclusively towards other European countries and countries taking part in the Erasmus+ programme, providing that:

- the regulations in force in Italy and in the country of destination, the provisions of the Italian Government, of the European Commission, of the National Agency for Erasmus Plus+ (INDIRE), of the MUR and of the MAECI relating to sanitary conditions allow the movements to and from the countries of destination;

- based on the regulations in force in Italy and in the countries of destination, the instructions of the Italian Government, of the European Commission, of the National Agency for Erasmus Plus+ (INDIRE), of the MUR and of the MAECI relating to sanitary conditions, there are no known conditions preventing a safe stay in the country of destination;

- the hosting institution formally expresses and documents its willingness to accept and allow the regular fulfilment of the planned mobility according to its safety protocols.

Outbound students are responsible to educate themselves on the methods of delivery of teaching activities at the hosting institution and on the sanitary conditions of their destination. They are further responsible for agreeing to the conditions set out within the declaration provided by UOC Students International Mobility

Outbound students are also responsible for attaching to the declaration mentioned in the previous point documentation from the hosting institution confirming acceptance of the inbound mobility.

All students planning on departing are kindly requested to contact the office for the pre-departure procedures.

In consideration of the extreme difficulties experienced by the students of the University of Brescia who have chosen to continue their Erasmus + experience, if they should decide to return to Italy, they will be allowed to continue the Erasmus + program in remote mode, through the online lessons organized by the host University, in compliance with the approved Learning Agreement.

In order to complete the acquisition of all scheduled ECTS, they will be allowed to take tests in remote mode, if required, at the host University. These students will be permitted also to follow the lessons of other courses that are not included in the Learning Agreement and that are provided by the University of Brescia, and they can take the related exams, starting from the following session of their academic year. The International Mobility Office guarantees all students returning to Italy and definitively concluding their Erasmus + mobility experience the support for immediate reintegration into their university courses.
