No single branch of scientific knowledge and technology has the potential to address and solve independently the problems related to food safety, quality, and sustainability. The adoption of a multidisciplinary approach is essential to address the complex issues of local and global agri-food system, with the objective of developing and offering feasible and innovative solutions. AGRIFOOD LAB (AFL) is:

  • a network of multidisciplinary and innovative research with the aim of coordinating the expertise of the University of Brescia in the agri-food sector, open to external cooperation;
  • a single point of access to these skills, organized into thematic areas;
  • a reference point and a key partner in the field of food research at national and international level.

The objectives:

  • To meet the research question that emerges economically and socially, locally, nationally and internationally, through the completeness and excellence of skills.
  • To develop basic and applied research in food and health.
  • To promote cooperation and build relationships with both the private and the public sector in order to guide the applied research and the dissemination of its results.
