Why study Biotechnologies at the University of Brescia?
  • The Bachelor’s Degree Programme in Biotechnologies provides students with a sound basic background in the various sectors of biotechnologies, which can also be used in other areas of life sciences, including the possibility to continue university education by enrolling in a Master's Degree Programme.

  • The teaching staff to student ratio is particularly favourable and enables continuous and effective education. Biotechnologists are cross-cutting professional figures, with skills covering various sectors, from food and agriculture to the environment, from health to technology and engineering.

  • Students are involved in various practical laboratory activities during the Study Programme and shall present an experimental dissertation prepared under the supervision of one or more tutors from the teaching staff.

  • The acquisition of the skills required for experimental activities in modern research laboratories is essential for the biotechnologist and this Study Programme pays special attention to this aspect of the training, including with a view to internationalisation.
