Why study Exercise and Sport Sciences at the University of Brescia?
  • The Bachelor’s Degree Programme in Physical Exercise and Sport Sciences provides students with the skills required to operate as professionals in the field of sports and physical activity in both public and private facilities, working with individuals or groups of people, for developing, maintaining and regaining motor skills and the consequent psychophysical wellbeing.

  • This Study Programme provides a sound cultural and scientific background that is useful for a particularly extensive range of employment opportunities, which include the areas of teaching and education, primary and secondary prevention, adapted physical activity for individuals with disabilities or functional deficiencies, the technical and sports field and related management activities.

  • New sports facilities are used for the professionalising activities. They are located next to classroom buildings and are easily accessible via the city's new underground system.

  • Furthermore, Bachelor’s Degree Programme in Physical Exercise and Sport Sciences is an integral part of the University's strategic Health&Wealth project, which aims to promote attainment of physical efficiency and wellbeing, through interaction with local, national and international organisations and agencies working in the area of general and specific prevention of illnesses related to sedentary and unhealthy lifestyles.

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

The main employment opportunities for graduates in in Physical Exercise and Sport Sciences are: teaching in schools, training and recreational activities requiring professional educators, working with disabled people or people affected by functional deficiencies, in teams with medical and health care staff in nursing homes, retirement homes or in the home care setting; working in promotional, amateur and competitive sports, at clubs, associations and sports clubs; work in the organisation and management of sports facilities.
