Magnetic card (Badge Card)

The University of Brescia provides students with a magnetic ID card (Badge) in collaboration with Banca Popolare di Sondrio.

The Badge Card is an innovative multi-services card which, besides functioning as a personal identification document and allowing future access to a wide range of services (photocopies, urban transport, etc.), is a prepaid credit card that can be used in shops, including for contactless payment, for online shopping, etc., and to receive credit from the university for any reimbursements, scholarships and sums owed for student collaboration.

COLLECTION OF THE MAGNETIC CARD (BADGE CARD) BY STUDENTS ENROLLED IN YEARS SUBSEQUENT TO THE FIRST

The magnetic card (Badge Card) is provided following the sending of a dedicated email notification specifying the location for collection, sent to the institutional email address of the person concerned.

MAGNETIC CARD (BADGE CARD) ISSUANCE PROCEDURE FOR ENROLLED STUDENTS

The MAGNETIC CARD (BADGE CARD) COLLECTION procedure is set out below for enrolling students:

  1. Following payment of the enrolment fees and validation of the photograph by the Student's Service, Banca Popolare di Sondrio receives the data it requires from the Università di Brescia to produce the personalized magnetic University card (Badge Card) with the student's photograph.
  2. As soon as the Badge Card is available, the student will receive an email to their personal email address with instructions and the website address so that they can make an appointment to collect the Badge Card. PLEASE NOTE! The office where the magnetic cards will be delivered is specified in the email itself.
  3. When the student collects their Badge Card, they can sign a special contract to activate all the Carta Multiservizi (Multi-services Card) features.
  4. Collection of the Badge Card is mandatory and necessary in order to complete the enrolment process.
  5. The magnetic cards (Badge Cards) will be handed out from around mid-October onwards.
MAGNETIC CARD (BADGE CARD) THEFT/LOSS

If a magnetic card (Badge Card) that has NOT been enabled as a credit card is stolen/lost, students should contact the Student's Service and Information Unit and apply for a new Badge Card by completing and handing in the dedicated form "Richiesta duplicato tessera magnetica" (Application for a duplicate of the magnetic card).

If the lost card had been enabled as a credit card, the student concerned should first of all block the card by calling the toll-free number 800-822056 (from abroad +39 02 60843768), or by using the dedicated inSCRIGNOInternet Banking feature.
The student concerned should also make a statement to the police as soon as possible and hand in a copy of the police report (or forward it by registered letter or fax) to the bank. The student concerned should then apply for a new ateneo+ card, which will keep the same IBAN details as the previous card.
