A delegation of the University of Brescia visited Guangzhou and Shanghai

A delegation of the University of Brescia visited Guangzhou and Shanghai to promote the students mobility and academic cooperation. In a meeting organised by Uni-Italia on 24th October in Guangzhou in cooperation with the General Consulate of Italy, the University of Brescia, University La Sapienza and Università Cattolica were presented to some Schools of Languages where the Italian language is taught as well. Then a visit was paid to the General Consul Ms. Lucia Pasqualini, who pointed out the opportunities in the area of Guangzhou especially in the area of ICT, and in the following day in the School of Languages Yuhang Education, based also in Florence.

In Shanghai prof. Leonardi visited the new New York University-Shanghai campus and the East China Normal University (ECNU), had meeting with the Dean of Science and Engineering, and various Faculty Members in charge for International Relations. The visit may help in strengthening the existing collaboration between NYU and UNIBS. Direct forms may also emerge with the partner institution ECNU in the Chinese context. Prof. Ranzi visited with prof. Leonardi also the Shanghai Jiao Tong University to promote the activities of the existing Memorandum of Understanding with our University. 

On 26 October, in collaboration with Istituto Italiano di Cultura in Shanghai, Prof. Roberto Ranzi and Prof. Antonio Saccoccio gave a lecture to the Caoyang High School, where brilliant students studying also the Italian language were attracted by the opportunities of studying in Italy and Brescia. In the following day Prof. Saccoccio together with prof. Ranzi visited the SHUPL-Shanghai University of Political Sciences and Law, we recently signed an MoU with, and at the ECUPL-Eastern China University of Political Sciences and Law gave a well-attended seminar on the “codictio”. For two days Margherita Andreis, from the International Students Offices, welcomed students at the China Education Expo to promote the recruitment of Chinese students in UNIBS.
