[UPDATED] Coronavirus: precautionary suspension of academic activities and student services

In accordance with the decrees issued by the Italian Ministry of Health and Ministry of Education, and with the aim of safeguarding individual and public health,

The following university activities are suspended:

  • lessons, seminars, internships, workshops etc.
  • student tutoring
  • graduation sessions
  • exam sessions
  • conferences and lectures (both internal and public)
  • competitive examinations (both written and oral)
  • student reception


All teaching activities, as well as exam and graduation sessions will be rescheduled in the course of the following weeks by university departments, and all related information will be released via /official communication channels.

All internships for healthcare professionals and the students of the single-cycle Master’s degree programme in Medicine and Surgery are suspended. All training activities in health facilities for medicine postgraduate students (enrolled in the Schools of specialization of medicine) will carry on regularly.

For precautionary purposes, all libraries and reading rooms will also be closed.

Administrative offices not requiring front desk interactions will remain open and the activities of teaching and technical-administrative personnel that are not included in the list above will carry on normally (excluding employees residing in the municipalities that are mentioned in the Ministry ordinance); further instructions and updates will be provided when indispensable and appropriate.

The Student help desk in via San Faustino 74/b will be closed and there will be no appointments with the International students office,  the Tuition fees office, the Advisory office or Internship and placement office. 


We strongly recommend students not to come to the help desk or the administrative offices.

The above mentioned activities and services will resume on 2 June 2020, unless public authorities issue further provisions stating otherwise. 
The University of Brescia is working in close contact with the appointed public authorities and will promptly update information for students, citizens and personnel as needed.
