Beginners’ Semba course

Semba has its roots in the 1950s – 1960s, when it was sung by the slaves deported from Angola to Brazil for sugar cane farming. Over the years, this dance has been studied by experts who have given it rules and techniques, and it has become popular across many parts of Europe (France, Portugal, Belgium and Poland).

The free course will be held in the multi-functional room at Via Valotti 3 from Tuesday 6 October, from 8.30 p.m. to 11.00 p.m., for a total of 10 sessions.

Places are limited; registration by e-mail only.

This students’ cultural initiative is funded with the contribution of the University of Brescia A.Y. 2014/2015 and is directly managed by the “Studenti Per – UDU Brescia” (Students’ Union).
