"Children's Environmental Health" Course

From April 19th to May  31st 2019 at University of Brescia - Aula Magna School of Medicine (viale Europa, 11) will take place the course "Children's Environmental Health", third Edition of a program for visiting professors.

THe course will emphasize interdisciplinary approaches to addres problems in children's enviromental health and toxicology.  Students will conduct analyses of assigned problems that integrate exposure pathways in environmental settings, fundamental laws governing the interaction of chemicals with biological systems at the molecular, cellular, and organismal level, and the environmental/public health impacts. The course will use a problem-based case study format to promote the understanding of key concepts and their application to the prevention of morbidity and mortality resulting from environmental exposures to toxic substances.

The Program for Visiting Professors at the University of Brescia hosts this annual course directed by Robert Wright, MD, MPH as part of the Memorandum of Understanding between the University of Brescia and the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, New York.
