Economic benefits - Students with disabilities

In the 2018/19 A.Y.

The following exempt from payment of university contributions and consequently only pay the regional fee for the right to education and the stamp duty:

  • students officially recognised as having a disability pursuant to Article. 3, paragraph 1, of the Italian Law no.104 dated 05/02/1992,or with an invalidity  level equal to or higher than 66%  (sixty-six percent); to qualify for this type of exemption it is necessary for students, when registering, to present the certificate issued by the competent ATS (local health authority) certifying the disability and/or the percentage of invalidity. Students are required to disclose any variations in the degree of invalidity recognised (Article. 11, paragraph 1(c) of the Student Contribution Regulations 2018/19 A.Y.)

To this end it is necessary for students to indicate their invalidity situation in their  Personal page of Esse3, uploading the certification of their disability each academic year. The system does not automatically update the documentation and therefore does not recognise exemption from fees unless the documentation is re-uploaded on the student's personal page.
The first instalment, corresponding to the regional tax of € 140.00  plus the  stamp duty, for a total of €156.00  for the 2018-2019 A.Y. is to be paid before 15th October 2018.

  • Students with a percentage of disability between 50% and 65%, referred to the Article.8, paragraph 7 of the Prime Ministerial Decree dated 9th April 2001, benefit from a reduction in the overall contribution of € 300.00 (article 12, paragraph 8 of the Student Contribution Regulations 2018/19 A.Y.)
