The student will have to know the ethical principles that regulate the health care professional - patient relationship, in relation to various types of patient, also in the field of research on human subjects - in particular the aspect of self-determination, informed consent and therapeutic relationship - as well as the ethical issues of beginning and end of life, medically assisted procreation, sterilization and bioethical aspects of genetic tests.
At the completion of the course, the learner will have to acquire useful knowledge in identifying and managing situations that in clinical practice can raise issues of bioethical relevance and will be able to apply the principles of medical ethics to the nursing profession.
