As main goal of the course students will gain the fundamental knowledge in climatology and hydro-climatology, applied both to urban and rural areas, and learn how to critically read publications, even scientific papers, dealing with climate change. The multidisciplinary approach will be promoted as a precious support to the analysis of complex problems.
At the end of the course students will be aware of the importance and the reliability of climate change adaptation and mitigation strategies adopted by international, national, regional and local agencies and/or authorities. They will also be able to build cliamte change scenarios according to the peculiarities of the case study and the available pieces of information. Finally they will have experienced team work and coped with result presentation.
