The objective of this course is to provide a broad knowledge of the digital tools necessary for a modern management of business activities, including logistic ones. The course aims to provide students with the awareness of the crucial role played by digital information management technologies and decision support tools.
More specifically:
* Knowledge and understanding.
The course aims to provide students with an overview of current digital technologies for business management and the role they play in managing business and industrial processes. Among these are the traditional corporate information systems and the new emerging technologies that form the basis of what is now called Industry 4.0.
* Ability to apply knowledge and understanding.
The student must be able to acquire the ability to use the digital tools presented in the course in a direct way to extract support information for business decisions.
* Autonomy of judgment.
At the end of the course, the student must have acquired the ability to manage the use of the tools illustrated by extracting information, and independently perform analysis and critical assessments in order to propose strategic and operational decisions in business management.
* Communication skills.
The student must be able to communicate effectively and with appropriate language with interlocutors of different skills. In particular, the student must be able to propose themself as a bridge between business management and technical consultants, translating business problems in terms of models, even formal ones, and vice versa, displaying technical solutions in a business context.
* Ability to learn.
The student must have acquired the ability to undertake the study of the functions and potential applications of digital tools as independently as possible.
