To support students with conceptual framworks ad operative instruments to start up/ scale up a new venture. Specific learning objectives. Knowledge and understanding Students will be able to analyze SMEs and the start up of new ventures at the conceptual level. Applying knowledge and understanding At hte end of the course student will be able to develop the businnes plan of a real new venture. Making judgements Students will be able to identify and evaluate strengths and weaknesses of SMEs. Communication skills Student will develop the ability to communicate to potential partner the crucial content of the businness plan, both in oral and written froms. Learning skills Student will master the competecies to analyze and evaluate businees plan developed by other new entrepreneurs.
The aim of the course is to analyse the key aspects of entrepreneurship and start up of new ventures. Particulkarly attention is dedicated to the personall traits of the entrepreneur, the partners and managerial team.
The course is based on two parts. In the first part the concept of entrepreneurship is developed together with the guidelines to prepare a business plan. The second part is dedicated to laboratory activities with the support of young an new entrepreneur. Sudents have to develop and present the business plan of a start up.

Theoretical introduction and discussion of case studies with new entreprenurs. The development of a real business plan is included.
Active partecipation with discussion of conceptual issues. Written exam for non attending students.
