Fundamentals of computers and programming
Aim of the course is the introduction of methodologies, techniques and architectures for the analysis, design and implementation of modern Information Systems.
The course deals the historical evolution of information systems and reference technologies. Modern information systems on the web, information systems for the management of data from the field, Big Data management systems are the main topics of the course. These topics are analyzed according to three points of view: design, development, architecture.
Evolution of Information Systems. Models and Methodologies for Web Information Systems. Evolution of production and management systems. Infrastructures and programming paradigms for Big Data: - Hadoop - Big data processing (MapReduce, Hive, Spark) - NoSQL systems - Big data analysis techniques - Systems and applications

Activity in laboratory allows students to use tools for application design and development.
Intermediate tests and written exam.
