The aim is to provide to introduce the basic principles to design, simulate and develop robotic cells and automation systems. Using the virtual commissioning logic, the main concepts and principles of industrial robotics and integration with manufacturing and handling systems will be defined and evaluated. The course presents the main techniques and tools to design and simulate a robotic cell identifying the most suitable solutions (e.g. robot, trajectory, gripper, cycle time, sensors, work space, layout, handling material systems, .). The course program is based on the main guidelines of Industry 4.0
