Industrial technical drawing
1) Knowledge and understanding Know and understand a system for the simulation of automation and robotics systems. 2) Applying Knowledge and understanding Ability to create 3D models of mechanical systems consisting of multi-part assemblies. Ability to create executive mechanical drawings and to simulate the operation of mechanical systems. 3) Making Judgments Being able to identify, formulate and solve problems related to the creation of models of industrial equipment, machines and systems and manage medium / low complexity projects. Be able to collect, integrate and critically interpret design and management data in the industrial field or data of an experimental nature, to help determine a judgment on their relevance and technical implications in management, arriving at original and autonomous ideas and judgments Be able to participate in the design of medium / low complexity systems / plants / products, with a critical and methodical approach and abstraction and generalization skills 4) Communication skills Ability to express concepts, interpretations and ideas in oral and / or written and / or graphic form Ability to read, and possibly produce and / or write, internal company rules and technical manuals Ability to communicate with other professionals on technical issues 5) Learning skills Ability to consult and use databases and information online for a continuous updating of knowledge
Learning the use of parametric CAD for the creation of models of automation and robotic systems with digital twin techniques.
The program will refer to the use of CAD which is provided free of charge to students: Part modeling using Solidworks; Assembly modeling using Solidworks; The kinematic simulation of mechanisms with Solidworks; The realization of robotic models by ABB Robotstudio.
Course notes, reference manuals of the CAD system adopted by the student and the ABB Robostudio simulation system for robotic systems.
Theoretical lessons and modeling exercises of mechanical and robotics systems.
Final interview in which the student will have to demonstrate that they have learned the ability to use the CAD of their choice and the ABB Robostudio system to manage and illustrate the mechanical and robotic model to be created, which will be assigned at the beginning of the course.
