CAMERA PARAMETER
sensor-size, pixel-size, image format. Lens elements: focal lengths, lens parameters, fundamental equations, magnification.
Thick lenses: principal planes, efl, bfl, using the equations for the correct lens selection.
Image quality parameters: resolution, edge, feature resolution. measurement resolution, road map to the correct design of a vision system.
Lens Magnification Transfer Fuction (MTF), feature contrast, spatial frequency, Nyqvist theorem in vision.
Depth of field, Numerical aperture, pixel and sub-pixel resolution. Profondità di campo, apertura numerica, risoluzione di misura del sistema di visione, risoluzione al pixel, risoluzione sub-pixel.
CAMERA TECHNOLOGY
CMOS and CCD based sensors, analog and digital cameras, shutters, camera speed, color cameras, B/W cameras, camera protocols.
LABVIWE ELEMENTS
Tab, strings, while and for loops, timing functions, shift registers, arrays. Images and arrays; image thresholding, image inversion; Event based state machine; local and global variables, Invoke and property nodes.
CAMERA CALIBRATION
Calibration templates, calibration functions, development of the camera calibration virtual instrument.
IMAGE ANALYSIS
Image histograms, gray level profiles, thresholding, contrast enhancement, spatial enhancement. Filters: linear and non liner kernels.
Edge detectors, bar code reading, calipers, rake, spoke, particle analysis, morphologic analysis.
Linear and circular fitting on edges; machine vision elements: object counting, object detection, geometry analysis. quality control of workpieces.
