At the end of the course the participants will be able to:
- download economic data from the main internet sites that provide it (central banks, statistical institutes, other freeware sites);
- organize and process economic data downloaded in a format useful for educational purposes, using freeware software;
- build activities and more generally a curriculum of legal studies in which the technical legal language is strengthened, but, at the same time, contamination with other disciplines, such as Italian and foreign literature and mathematics;
- use teaching methods alternative to frontal lessons, such as learning by doing or situated learning.
Starting from the academic year 2019/2020, the course has as its content the teaching of economic and legal sciences, with particular reference to conceptual and epistemological nodes, and in function of the development of semiotic abilities as well as the expansion of expressive and cognitive potential in the specific disciplinary area. The course is valid for the recognition of the PECORSO24CFU (methodology and teaching technology area) for the teaching competition class.
The course is held with the participation of Prof. Menoncin regarding the part concerning economic sciences.
The course contents are as follows.
For the introductory part:
- outline of general pedagogy and inclusion
- learning styles and educational mediators
For the part relating to economic sciences:
- The main methodologies of educational and training planning, with reference to economic data and freeware software;
- Methodological and technological approaches to economic education;
- Approaches aimed at participatory planning and skills;
- Laboratory and transmedia methods;
- Digital technologies for obtaining and processing economic data;
- The specific teaching methods and technologies for school teaching in economics;
- Technological tools for teaching and learning economic disciplines;
For the part relating to legal sciene:
- Design and development of legal science teaching activities through the use of other subjects, such as literature and mathematics;
- Analysis of the potential and criticality of the use of alternative methods for teaching and learning law, such as situated learning
For the part concerning common and transversal knowledge (14 hours):
- outline of general pedagogy and inclusion
- methodology and didactics of secondary education
- educational mediators in a didactic perspective for compenteze
For the part relating to economic sciences (6 hours):
- present the main websites from which economic data can be obtained, showing in which formats to download them;
- give the basic skills to use freeware software (R, LyX) for the processing and presentation of economic data downloaded from the sites and with the methods presented in the first part.
For the part relating to legal sciences (20 hours):
- an example of innovative teaching strategies: EAS teaching;
- Law and Literature: Italian and foreign literature will be presented as a possible method of approach to law, underlining its pedagogical scope and enhancing interdisciplinarity;
- quantitative methods for jurists: some mathematical tools will be briefly presented that can find economic-juridical applications, such as the probative value of one or more clues, the recognition of paternity, the probability of innocence of a defendant, as well as game theory for economical decisions.

Lectures and laboratory activities
The verification of the learning will take place as follows:
- for the part relating to economic sciences: preparation of a short paper that uses the knowledge developed during the course and in particular the elaboration and presentation of economic data for educational purposes. The paper must be sent to Prof. Menoncin (francesco.menoncin@unibs.it) at least THREE DAYS before the date of the appeal. - for the part concerning legal sciences: oral exam on the contents delivered during the lessons.
The final grade will result from the weighting of the two votes. The weighted vote will be published on ESSE3 and will remain pending for three days, within which the student can choose whether to accept or reject the vote. At the end of the three days, the vote will be automatically minuted.
The course is valid for the recognition of the PECORSO24CFU (methodology and teaching technology area) for the class of competition for teaching A-46 (Legal-economic sciences). It is recalled that the title for access to the A-46 is the entire class of degrees in Law or Economics.
