The aim of the course is to provide the tools necessary to the study design, to collect, process and interpret the results of the analysis.
Operational tools for the design and statistical analysis of nursing research data.
Create a data matrix. The treatment of the missing values. The treatment of outliers. Descriptive statistics with Excel. Graphical representations of the variables. Tools for bivariate analysis. Tests to compare proportions. Tests to compare means.
Theoretical and practical lessons carried out in computer lab.
A single final exam evaluates the student on the topics covered by the three modules of the course. The exam is written and consists of some open or multiple-choice questions and guided exercises on data analysis. The exam takes place in the computer lab and involves the use of the computer. The student can use the material provided during the course.
