Educational Goals

The course aims to provide useful devices for identifying, analyzing and managing situations of disability, social difference and marginalization through the use of practical, theoretical, conceptual and methodological tools that favor the exercise of critical reflection and the clarification of targeted personal skills to achieve autonomy with sporting practice.
At the end of the course the student:
• will be able to distinguish the problems that limit autonomy
• will be able to set up an individualized educational plan
• will be able to recognize and act on the different types of handicap
• will know how to use targeted intervention techniques
• will be able to participate in the construction of an educational project oriented towards sporting practice
• will be able to identify emotional and family aspects in addition to the cognitive ones

- From pedagogy to special pedagogy: Theoretical assumptions
- Concept of inclusion and integration
- The norm, deviance, disease and crime
- ICF and functional classification system
- Adapted Motor Activity (APA)
- Types of problems that limit autonomy
- Special Educational Needs
- The Individualized Education Plan
- Planning of the educational intervention and planning of activities

Extended Syllabus

Inclusive education: historical, theoretical and epistemological aspects.
Adapted motor activity: history of the APA, national and international bodies.
The specific educational strategies for the inclusion of SEN: visual disabilities, motor disabilities, hearing disabilities, mental and cognitive disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, Down syndrome, specific learning disorders, behavioral disorders, generalized disorders of the development.
Insertion, integration and inclusion: pedagogical aspects of motor activity, inclusive teaching.
Notes on the various types of intelligence: H. Gardner, R.J. Sternberg
Psychomotricity as an inclusive activity: B. Aucouturier, A. Lapierre, J. Le Boulch, P. Vayer
