Logistics and supply chain management is referred to a set of approaches utilized to efficiently integrate suppliers, manufacturers, warehouses, and stores, so that merchandise is produced and distributed at the right quantities, to the right locations, at the right time, and satisfying service level requirements, with the objective of minimizing overall costs. The first part of the course introduces the key concepts and tools of logistics and supply chain management. The second part introduces the decision problems that occur in international transportation logistics and provides quantitative methods for their solution.
