In the scope of the knowledge of the basis for the qualitative and quantitative understanding of biological phenomena, the student must acquire knowledge of prosthetic and laboratory technologies, validated by the correct dental practice, at the base of the production of custom-made devices for orthodontic use.It is important that the procedures are implemented in their possibilities and limits as well as the correct use of available materials in order to make it possible for the professional to objectively evaluate the products produced in the dental laboratory and the correct application of Directive 93/42 EEC - DL 46 / 97 and subsequent amendments as well as the application of the new REGULATION (EU) 2017/745 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of 5 April 2017 concerning medical devices, amending Directive 2001/83 / EC, Regulation (EC) no. 178/2002 and the regulation (CE) n. 1223/2009 and repealing Council Directives 90/385 / EEC and 93/42 / EEC. The professional areas of the dental technician's activity and the correct collaboration relationships with the Orthodontist must also be clear.
