During the course, in order to provide students with the methodological and operational tools, also in reference to the different building technology (historical, concrete framed with infill brick, dry construction, etc ...), the following topics will be discussed:
- finite element modelling of thermal bridges in steady conditions,
- analysis hygrothermal behaviour of the building envelope in steady and semi- steady conditions,
- thermal simulation in dynamic conditions.
The topics listed above will be used as tools for:
- energy audit and definition of improvement actions,
- analysis of the main regulatory sources,
- energy evaluations at the urban scale (notes).
The course is characterized by an application approach and thus different software (open source mainly) will be disclosed and used with whom the students, divided into groups, will prepare a project work on the issues of the course.
