At the end of the course the student should be able to:
- collect and analyze anamnestic data, in order to recognize possible risk factors for surgical diseases and to investigate previous patients diseases
- set up a diagnostic procedure based on symptoms, signs and objective data; the diagnostic procedure should take into consideration several clinical, organizational and economic factors
- orientate themselves among different therapeutical options, analyzing not only the results that each of them can obtain, but also their risks and costs
- establish a correct relationship with the patients, correctly informing them about their disease and helping them to face positively their situation
- keep themselves up to date, using all available tools, in order to offer patients optimal therapeutical standards and in order to partecipate in clinical questions even when the intervention of other specialists is required.
