In the scope of knowledge of orthodontic of minor orthodontic displacements (making orthodontic corrections of minor occlusal problems recognizing the opportunity to send the patient to other specialist in the presence of more complex pathologies) established by the objectives of the CdS, at the end of the course the student will be able to:
Know diagnostic paths useful to frame the various types of malocclusion
Know the orthognathodontic semeiotic, in relation also to the instrumental devices
Know the histology and physiology of the orthodontic movement
Know the principles of biomechanics, as well as the mode of action, function and effects of orthodontic equipment
Know the main therapeutic procedures that can be pursued with fixed appliances
Acquire knowledge on the principles of orthodontic therapy in adult patients
Acquire a multidisciplinary approach between orthodontics and other dental disciplines
Acquire signs of developmental psychology in relation to orthodontic practice
Knowing how to fill in the orthognathodontic medical record
Being able to perform the orthodontic clinical examination
Knowing how to perform an adequate analysis of the occlusion and its relationship with the other stomatognathic components
Knowing how to implement the knowledge acquired for the purpose of designing, applying and repairing the equipment necessary for the fixed multi-band orthodontic treatment
