Students acquire basic knowledge of circuit analysis techniques, and principles of three phase systems and electronics, also through the practical exercise in the laboratory of the electrical equipment and electronics of industrial interest.
Methods and instruments dedicated to electric and electronic measurements
The course is organized as theory lessons, numerical exercitations, and laboratory sessions. The course deals with the following subjects: - Solution of electric networks; - Introduction to electrical energy/power; - Analog indicators: moving-magnet, moving-coil, and moving-iron devices. Amperometers and voltmeters. Analog multimeter. - Introduction to the SI organization. Measurement traceability and metrology institutes. The certification of the measurements. - The sensor as the measurement signal generator. The measuring chain and the electronic blocks for the signal processing. - D/A and A/D conversion. Techniques for A/D and D/A devices. - Numeric instrumentation and visual instrumentation
