For this course no specific skills and/or previous knowledges other than those required for enrollment in the study program and year of course are required
The aim of this Course is to introduce students to the main aspects of hygiene and preventive medicine. You want to provide the student with an epidemiological approach to the study of chronic diseases and infectious diseases. In this regard, it will make a mention of the importance of primary prevention, with the elimination and control of causes and risk factors of diseases, and secondary prevention, with early detection, in the context of chronic degenerative diseases. The lessons will focus attention to prevention and control of diseases (e.g. disinfection and sterilization), and will analyze in detail the vaccination schedule. Will be treated, always with a view to prevention, some infectious diseases as examples of diseases with different way of diffusion.
