The Metallurgical Technologies Course is based on the assumption that students have a basic knowledge of Metallurgy
The existing relationships between different manufacturing technologies and microstructural/mechanical behavior of metallic components is the main aim of the course. Therefore both during the theoretical part of the lectures and the Laboratory part of the course the characterization techniques applied to the different metallic materials and manufacturing technologies are duly considered.
The different manufacturing technologies for the production of structural metallic components in terms of resulting mechanical, metallurgical and microstructural behavior are considered along with a practical approach carried out during the Metallic Material Laboratory part.
