Basic knowledge of technical drawing.
The purpose of the course is to provide the students with the ability to perform and interpret engineering drawings using through the acquisition of methodologies of representation and associated legislation. The student must show to have acquired a basic knowledge of the functional components of the machines and standardized design procedures by developing and strengthening the professional ability to be able to read independently and thoroughly drawings of assemblies and special characteristic of industrial engineering.

LECTURES SESSIONS The course will cover the following topics: Curves techniques and applications Types of technical drawings Standards Orthogonal projections, views and sections Representation of particular elements Dimensioning and technological processes Dimensional, geometric and surface tolerances Threaded and not threaded joining’s Life drawing Morphology of machine elements Reading and execution of simple assembly drawings
LAB SESSIONS Lab exercises are programmed to guide the student into the acquisition of an adequate level of manual dexterity as well as technical knowledge of mechanical drawing. The exercises cover, in a progressive way, the different topics illustrated during the lessons.

Lectures and practice.
The exam, at the end of the course, consists of a written test, a graphic one (to which is allowed to the students who have passed the written test) and an oral one (which is allowed to the students who have passed the test graphics).
