The course basing on the notions of foundamental physics phenomena illustrated in the other modules, describes the sensors or devices for measuring physical quantities with electrical output. The module illustrates the operating principles of sensors, their physical model and the metrological characteristics. The main manufacturing technologies are also presented together with their implementation in the field of industrial automation. The course complements the lectures with laboratory experiments.
