The course aims to explain and examine in detail the main institutions of Islamic law, with a special focus on constitutional laws and protection of fundamental rights, in the context of comparison with the liberal-democratic systems of the Western Countries.
The course is divided into two parts. The first part, which is introductory in nature, will tackle the descriptive and informative topics of Islam's law systems (constitutional and political-institutional).
The second, specialised part, will take a closer look at the characteristics and peculiarities of the Islamic Countries of the Mediterranean Area
