To facilitate understanding of the topics covered in the course students must have an understanding of “Economics and Business Management” and “Accounting” courses.
The course aims to provide insight on the process of economic and financial planning as well as on the process of business valuation.
The course aims to deepen the fundamental issues of corporate financial management with the objective of providing the theoretical and operational tools useful in the process of economic and financial planning and evaluation processes of businesses and acquisitions. The course describes the approaches adopted by financial analysts and large consulting firms for evaluation of companies and acquisitions and has the aim to develop sensitivity to these problems based on a clear theoretical model.

The course includes traditional lectures on specific topics. During the course it will make ample use of examples and case studies taken from the real world.
The exam consists of a written test and an oral exam. In order to take the oral exam it is necessary to pass the written exam (minimum mark 18/30). The oral exam usually takes place in the week following the date of the written test. Any student missing the oral exam will have to retake the written exam.
During the course some lessons will take place in the Computer Lab. A guest expert lecture is foreseen.
