Educational goals:
The academic course is aimed to give students conceptual tools that let them understand, from an operative management point of view, what is the correct and functional allocation of tourist resources, taking into account local and national environment.
More in detail, course part 1 is aiming to provide basic knowledge related to the 3 relevant dimensions in tourism, on operating basis: a) tourist destination; b) tourism demand; c) tourist product supply. This knowledge is required to analyse the related sector policies.
Course part 2 is aiming to examine two aspects: a) the relationship between tourist activity and macroeconomic context where individual operators are acting and by whose are influenced; b) cultural heritage management and enhancement policies, not only regarding the fundamental interaction with tourist market, but also for the economic relevance and the development outlook tied to the positive effects generated, mainly in a local environment.
