The goal of this course is to provide a broad knowledge of the tools necessary for a modern management of enterprise logistics activities. The course aims to provide students with an awareness of the crucial role played by technologies for managing information and the tools to support decisions. The aim of the course is to show the link between these tools and how they can be integrated.
More specifically:
* Knowledge and ability to understand.
The course aims to provide the student with an overview of current digital technologies for business management and the role they paly in business and industrial processes management . These include traditional enterprise information systems and the new emerging technologies that form the basis of what is nowaday called the Industry 4.0.
* Ability to apply knowledge and understanding.
The student must be able to achieve the ability to use digital tools proposed during the course in a way aimed to extract support information for management decisions.
* Autonomy of judgment.
At the end of the course, the student must have acquired the ability to manage the use of the tools illustrated by extracting information, and carrying out independent analyzes and critical evaluations in order to propose strategic and operational decisions in the company management.
* Communication skills.
The student must be able to communicate effectively and with an appropriate language with interlocutors of different competences. In particular, students must be able to propose themselves as a bridge between business management and technical consultants, translating business problems in terms of models, even formal ones, and vice versa exhibiting technical solutions in a business context.
* Ability to learn.
The student must have acquired the ability to undertake the study of the functions and potential applications of digital tools as autonomously as possible.
